Field trips to the ranch at Anaheim Equestrian Center offer Students Pre-K-12 the benefit of a hands-on environmental science education. Our goals include implementing positive change through active learning about, caring for and interacting with the environment and animals. This interaction helps young people develop self-respect, confidence in themselves, and hope for the future.
Earth Connections, Fun with Horses and Anaheim Equestrian Center have made a commitment to promote the ethical values of the “six pillars of character” in all programs. This enables students to have hands on experiences with animals using Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
Programs offered in conjunction with Fun with Horses Riding Program include
Back to Basics Farm
and Ranch Tours
These tours provide an opportunity for children to experience farm and ranch
activities in an outdoor setting, performing hands-on activities such as
feeding horses, petting farm animals, trying their skill at roping and
creating a fun craft. They will see a blacksmith shoe a horse; compare the
size of eggs of different species of birds; see samples of bird, butterfly
and bat houses; and learn about composting and organic gardening.
Fun with Horses
Get involved. Learn how to interact with large animals. Feed, groom and ride
horses.
Down on the Farm
Learn about farm animals through songs and crafts. Then meet some real live
animals to pet and feed. Top off your visit with a pony ride.
In Addition Picnic tables are available for lunch or snacks.
